Copyrights, Copywrongs, and Releases
If you are the type that wants to know about Copyright and model releases but were
too scared to ask, then this is the session for you. Jack will clarify the boatload of
bad information, myths, factoids, and half truths about Copyright, model releases,
and other photographer issues that are floating around. This session will both
demystify and illuminate many issues in Jack’s easy to understand, plain English
manner. What does copyright mean and what does it mean to me? Do I need a model
release? Why do I need Second Shooter paperwork or Property releases? Can the
bride and groom sign a release for their guests? This session will answer these
questions and with a Q&A at the end, so you can ask your own burning questions.

Jack Reznicki is a world-renowned photographer, teacher, lecturer, columnist, and author based in NYC. He is an Honorary Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography and has twice received the IPC (International Photographic Council) Leadership medal at the United Nations. Jack was appointed a guest professor at Shandong University of Art and Design and named a Mo-Tse Grand Master Photographer in China. Being pro-active in the photo community, Jack is a past president of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and a founding board member of Advertising Photographers of America (APA).  As an author of several photo books including The Copyright Zone, Illustration Photography, and Studio and Advertising Photography. Jack was also a popular columnist in Petersen’s Photographic and Photoshop User magazines.

His current passion is travel photography, but he is well known for his children photography for clients such as Toys R Us, Carters, Working Mother Magazine along with his Illustration photography for Reader’s Digest, several covers of Time Magazine, and many Fortune 500 clients. Proud to be one of the original “Canon Explorers of Light” and Jack is also a Photoshop World “Dream Team” instructor, an “Epson Stylus Pro”, an X-Rite “Coloratti”, and a Sandisk “Photo Master”.

Having a BFA cum laude degree in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), he currently teaches a graduate course on photography at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in NYC. His photo website is www.reznicki.com
